Travelling, caring, creating? We want to hear from you!
Graduation isn’t one-size-fits-all. From travelling and caring to freelancing and building creative portfolios, graduates take many paths beyond full-time work or study. The Graduate Outcomes survey celebrates these diverse journeys - your response helps shape support and opportunities for the future. Whatever you’re doing, your story matters.
Graduation doesn’t always lead straight into a permanent job or further study. You might be travelling, caring for a loved one, freelancing, building a creative portfolio - or even between jobs right now. And that’s okay. In fact, it’s more common than you might think.
From our latest Graduate Outcomes survey results, many graduates tell us that they’re doing something other than full-time work or study. In today’s fast-moving job market, traditional employment often sits alongside a wide variety of roles, flexible ways of working, and portfolio careers. We want to capture all these experiences to reflect the full spectrum of what graduates do after higher education.
By completing the Graduate Outcomes survey, you’re championing these diverse routes and ensuring they are recognised and understood. Your response contributes to national statistics used by policymakers, universities, and researchers to shape support services, funding, and future opportunities for graduates like you.
Your story matters
The survey isn’t just about employment - it’s about what you’re doing, how you feel about it, and how it fits into your future plans. In fact, 85% of UK graduates from the class of 2022/23 said their activity was meaningful, and 77% felt it aligned with their future goals. Even if you’re between jobs, your story matters.
So whether you’re creating, caring, discovering the world or planning your next move - take the survey when you’re invited. It’s your chance to be heard.
